Get ready for a whole lot of tail wags and kisses! Meet Maya, the spunky and spirited little pup with a heart of gold. This adorable little girl was a stray in Texas before she was transported to Sadies Safe Harbor Canine Rescue. Maya’s foster mom describes her as a social butterfly who loves everyone she meets. She's always eager to make new friends and will happily shower them with love and affection. She has a playful and energetic side. She absolutely adores chasing after toys and balls, keeping herself entertained for hours on end. She walks well on a leash and loves to go on sniffing walks. But what really melts her foster moms' heart is when Maya curls up next to her for some snuggles and cuddles - she truly is a lap animal. This petite pup has the most striking dark soulful eyes and cute little wrinkles on her head. Maya would thrive in a home that can give her the attention, affection, and playtime she deserves. She's a social pup who would do well with a canine companion to play with, and even gets along well with cats! Maya's a quick learner, has good focus, and is always eager to please, making her an ideal candidate for training. She's a confident and independent girl who loves to explore, but also enjoys quiet moments with her loved ones. Maya is looking for her people that will give her all the love and care she deserves. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this sweet, friendly and happy little girl. Submit an application for her at sadiesrescue.org and see for yourself what a special and lovable pup she is.
Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a puppy, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog. At the time of adoption, the puppy will be current on vaccinations and deworming. He or she will come with a pre-scheduled appointment at our vet to be spayed or neutered that the adopter is obligated to keep. The puppy will also be microchipped at this time. Please consider the time and effort it takes to raise a puppy. Foster puppies are typically NOT potty trained. They require time and patience from their adopter. If you are NOT serious about adoption and have not discussed the possiblility of adding a new canine to your home with ALL live in family members, DO NOT APPLY. Volunteers spend countless hours reviewing applications, calling references, and scheduling home visits. Please be sure you are ready to add a puppy to your home BEFORE applying.
