When you first look at me, you may get the urge to feel sad for me. My body tells the story of how I lived before rescue. I wouldn’t even call it living. It was surviving. I raised countless pups. Recovered from injuries with no veterinary care. And suffered from parasites & skin issues with no relief. Then I found myself at animal control. Where I was safe and warm and fed. I almost let my guard down and then found out not everyone makes it out. But I survived. Again. I was the last dog chosen for the freedom ride to Buffalo. I had minutes to spare. 

So surviving ends here in the 716. It’s time for Ol’ Barb to LIVE! So here’s what I’m gonna do. Every bed or couch I see. It’s mine. I’m diving in and rolling around until all your fancy throw pillows are on the ground. Unattended food? MINE! Pretzels are my favorite. Sunshine? Get in the shade those rays are MINE! Okay I’m sounding greedy now. I swear I’m a good girl. I am potty trained, crate trained, I’m a 5/10 on a leash. 10/10 on the eyes. I love thunder, the vacuum, fireworks. I ain’t afraid of nothin! What I love most is humans. Even after they tried to break me down in my first life. All I want is to be touching you. Hand to belly is preferred. You’ll know you hit the spot when I start snorting. I am a fantastic roommate;  I’ve heard. The cats I live with thank me everyday for finishing their uneaten food. The dogs I live with thank me everyday for cleaning up their toys by bringing them all into my crate (I’m a hoarder ) The humans I live with thank me for making them smile.
