Hi! I’m Ruthie but my foster mom calls me Rue. I’m an 18 month old Australian Cattle Dog/Shepard mix. I’m crate trained, house trained & I know a bunch of words like sit, hold & off. My foster mom says I’m super smart, super active & just want to play and be loved! I’m respectful of small dogs, and I Love to run around with my 25 lb cocker spaniel friend. I ahve also made many new friends at doggie daycare! Do you have a yard and another young dog I could run around with? I would sooo love that! I walk on a leash pretty well and will be great with more practice. We are working on my self-confidence, as I will cringe & bark if someone moves too fast. Men scare me, especially if they are carrying something in their hands. I don’t think small children would be good for me at this time. I don’t want to be afraid anymore. Will you work with me, love me & can keep me busy, Mind & Body? And let me sleep on the couch next to you after our busy day? I will love you Furever!

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at www.sadiesrescue.org

Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog.

As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting as placing each foster dog in the best home takes time and effort by our volunteers.
