If Echo's pictures are what brought you to this ad, we don't blame you; he is one handsome boy! He's also sweet, playful, and a real joy to have around.
Echo is a 1 year old neutered male. He is crate trained and house trained. He can sit for a treat and is working hard at learning house rules. He loves toys and spends a lot of time tossing them around and chewing on them. He definitely has husky energy and he takes at least two 1/2 mile to mile walks a day and enjoys playing with the resident dogs in his foster home. His forever home will have to be up for his energy - he will need walks and playtime daily. Echo is still learning what he's allowed to play with and what he's not in his foster home but he's a smart boy and responds well when told to stop, or when something needs to be taken from him.

His ideal home would be with an active owner who could take him on long walks and maybe even some hikes. He's great on his leash! He'd probably love a friendly resident dog to play with - he spends a lot of time during the day tiring out the resident dogs in his foster home. He has not been tested with cats, but he does well with kids.
When it's tv time for the family, Echo is happy to sit on the couch or rug and chew a toy or take a nap. At bedtime he goes into his crate and sleeps or plays quietly until it's time to come out (about 8-9 hours). He is also crated when his foster family has to go out and he loves to go in his crate with a freshly stuffed kong to work on. He's a very good boy!

Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog. As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting as placing each foster dog in the best home takes time and effort by our volunteers.
