Ms. Cleo is a dream dog!  Housebroken! Crate trained!  Good with kids!  Her foster cannot stop gushing about her!

Cleo is a young dog (we think about 2 years old).  She is very mellow on her own, but will play play play with her doggie friends.  She likes to explore the yard or play with her toys for a few minutes, and then snuggle up in her bed for a nice long snooze.  Cleo loves getting loved on by her humans and would gladly curl up in your lap if you let her.

Cleo is housebroken and crate trained.  She sleeps beautifully in her crate at night and goes in easily if needed while her foster family is out and about during the day.  Cleo knows how to sit and seems very eager to learn other commands.  We use a gentle leader chest harness during walks and she is doing really nicely with her leash manners.

Cleo is good with kids.  She’s fostering with 2 young kids (4 & 1.5 years old).  She’s a little excited when everyone comes home, which may be scary to a very little kid, but settles down fairly quickly.  We think she would do great as a family dog!

Cleo is good with other dogs.  She’s fostering with 2 old cranky dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries.  She had an opportunity to live with another young dog for a few days and loved having a doggie playmate.  We think she would do well with another dog with the proper introduction.

Cleo does seem to have a strong prey drive, so no homes with cats or smaller animals (rabbits, etc) for this lovely lady.

Cleo has a spay appointment scheduled for mid-January and will be ready to go to her forever family after that.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at

Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog.

As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting as placing each foster dog in the best home takes time and effort by our volunteers.
