Hello I am 1 of a litter of 7. I was born in a litter of 4 girls and 3 boys. Our mom, Sassy, was found in Texas at a home with several other dogs. I was born on 8/19/2021. Me and my littermates all look pretty similar, black with white or brown. We have no idea who our father was but we think we will be small to medium sized when mature. Our mom is around 25 pounds and was a great mom to us. We are guessing that our mom is a Rat Terrier mix, she is on the small size, loves to zoom around the yard and is pretty fast. Rat Terriers tend to be intelligent with a keen mind. Fast, nimble hunters, Rat Terriers excel at agility and love to run. We will most likely not be couch potatoes as we continue to grow, so please make sure you have enough time to stimulate me mentally and physically before considering adopting me. Included in my pictures is a photo of my Mom, Sassy. I do have edema in my back leg, most likely from an injury at birth. I went to the Vet and was prescribe some medicine, this could potentially go away, or it could be there forever. At this time it doesn't stop me from being a normal, active puppy. My foster mom will talk about my leg to any potential adopter.
Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a puppy, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog. At the time of adoption, the puppy will be current on vaccinations and deworming. He or she will come with a pre-scheduled appointment at our vet to be spayed or neutered that the adopter is obligated to keep. The puppy will also be microchipped at this time. Please consider the time and effort it takes to raise a puppy. Foster puppies are typically NOT potty trained. They require time and patience from their adopter. If you are NOT serious about adoption and have not discussed the possiblility of adding a new canine to your home with ALL live in family members, DO NOT APPLY. Volunteers spend countless hours reviewing applications, calling references, and scheduling home visits. Please be sure you are ready to add a puppy to your home BEFORE applying.
