Hi! I’m Dora. I’m a fun, energetic girl. I love to play and run around. I will keep you on your toes. My foster siblings are my best friends. I am doing well with potty training, but I still have some accidents inside. I love to get attention from anyone. I like to play then snuggle. I’m ready to be your newest best friend.
Raising a young dog is not easy, we strongly encourage crate training which takes time and patience. First days in a new home will be stressful for any new dog, with possible sleepless nights. Socialization plays a huge part to having a well balanced pooch, we encourage adopters to enroll in a puppy/dog socialization class to help continue to develop social skills. Sadie's is a pure positive training rescue, the use of punitive training devices such as choke chains, prong collars and no-bark collars are not permitted at any time after adoption. Positive reinforcement training resources are provided to all of our adopters. If you have time now and after COVID 19 to dedicate to training, raising and socializing a puppy/dog apply today at www.sadiesrescue.org .
Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a puppy/dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog. At the time of adoption, the puppy/dog will be current on vaccinations and deworming. He or she will come with a pre-scheduled appointment at our vet to be spayed or neutered that the adopter is obligated to keep, when the puppy/dog is around 6 months of age. The puppy/dog will also be microchipped at this time. Our adoption fee is $350 plus a $50 training deposit, which is refunded to the adopter when he or she provides proof of having completed a basic obedience class with the dog.
As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region.
