**AMAZING GIRL ALERT**
My name is Lily and I am a survivor! I was found in the rain in North Carolina over the winter. The great people at the shelter took care of my immediate needs, and the team at Sadie's brought me to WNY to continue my care! You see - I had severe cherry eye in both of my eyes and I also had glaucoma. That was very painful, and along wtih a detached eye lens my eye problems kept getting worse. The wonderful specialists at Animal Eye Care tried everything, but they told my foster mom I would feel much better without those bad eyes!!
So - here I am!! My eyes are gone and I am feeling much better!! I can now be the happy and loving girl that I was always meant to be. I only weigh about 14 pounds and people say I am probably a poodle/terrier mix. I am somewhere between 8-10 years young- and I am still very lively! I LOVE people and belly rubs! I would love to take nice slow walks and then relax with you on the recliner! Once I learn the layout of the house I can find my way around any room. My hearing is also excellent!!
I didn't have the best start in life, and I would really love a forever family of my own that will love me as much as I will love them! Think you are the special family I am looking for??
If you are interested in adopting Lily, please complete an adoption application at www.sadiesrescue.org
Please keep in mind there are many factors to consider when choosing the right match for a dog, so an application cannot guarantee adoption. Nor do we work on a "first come first served" basis, but rather strive to find the best match for the personality of each dog.
As part of our adoption process, references both personal and veterinarian will be checked. Sadie's also requires a home visit before we adopt any of our dogs out; therefore we only adopt to our local WNY region. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting as placing each foster dog in the best home takes time and effort by our volunteers.
